02 August 2011 what are the customs duty that will be levied if 100 pcs of memory cards are imported from china @.78usd/piece.

please advise me as i want to start a business for imoprting of memory cards from china.

02 August 2011 as per para 2.8 (iii) of foreign trade policy 2009-2014, a person (exporter/ importer) is exempt from IEC code if they are importing / exporting the goods for personal use / agriculture purpose.

If you want to start a business then apply for IEC code and custom duty of this item is nil but cess custom 3% and excise is 3% .
