Credit on rent payble on building and P& M

We are paying the rent on monthy on building and plant and machinary.We are paying Service tax and Vat on the rent.

in this conncetion can we take the VAT credit on rent on Building and P& M

Please clarify on above issue

03 August 2010 Clarification : Principally VAT can't be charged on rentals, though some states are charging it.

In those cases, definitely, you can claim the credit for the same.
