03 September 2011 sir , what is the time limit for submitting the cost records to the cost auditor by the company... sir whether its 30 day or 135 days from the end of relevant financial year? is there is any amendment in this regard?

03 September 2011 As per Cost Audit Rules 2011, Cost audit report need to submit with in 180 days from the close of relevant financial year

04 September 2011 sir ... ,, you are not getting my question i want to ask in what time company should make available to cost auditor the cost records ., cost statements or other documents to conduct his audit with in that 180 days .., sir i m confused whether it is 135 days or 30 days from the close of relevant financial year... sir plzz help me in this regard..

04 September 2011 As per Cost audit rules 2001 the records should be made available all records with in 135 days from the date of closure of relevant financial year.

but present Cost Audit Rule 2011 the above provision is silent, it can be treated the same provision is continue or can be taken companies responsibility to made available all records in reasonable period for producing report with in 180days
