please help me out
1. What is the penalty if Annual returns are not filed for the last 3 years (2006-07 to 2008-09) ?
2. Our client is a private limited company incorporated in 2005. But none of the directors had obtained DIN. What will be the penalty if they apply for DIN now ?
3. If a person,before obtaining DIN, is appointed as a director, Is his appontment is invalid ? what will be the consequences

1.Additional filing fee has to be paid at the rates specified in section 611(2) of The Companies Act,1956.
2.Apply for DIN now. Imposition of Penalty has not started.However the details of penalty is as follows.
If any individual or director contravenes any of the provisions, every such individual or director or the company, as the case may be, who or which, is in default, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees and where the contravention is a continuing one, with a further fine which may extend to five hundred rupees for every day after the first during which the contravention continues.
3.Now a person cannot be appointed as director with out an approved DIN.
