Private company uses Pvt in the end of its name like XYZ pvt ltd
why we do not use Pte instead of Pvt?
Is Pvt define anywhere?
Pls anwser along with legal references and any circular of Govt body

Pl refer Sec 3(1) of the companies Act 1956.
The words "Pvt ltd" & "Public ltd" are mandatory in Indian context.
The words "Pte" are silimarly used for those companies which are incorporated in countries like Singapure, Malaysia etc.,
The words "Plc" are being used in westeren countries.
