13 November 2013 can you pls tell me from which attempt of ca final company act 2013 will apply.

It may be very much possibility that new Companies Act, 2013 will apply for your May 2014 attempt.

The reason is that most of the section of old Companies Act, 1956 has been abolished which has been given in your study module.

One think I want to also clarified that the new module of Corporate law will also issued by Institute in near future.

So be ready to study of new Companies Act, 2013.

The only formalities is waiting of Notification in this regards.

13 November 2013 it is possible that it may apply to May 2014 attempt. You can be all assured that it will apply for November 14.

14 November 2013 Its is not applicable for May attempt, bcz icai has notified, however there is no such notification for Nov 14 attempt.

16 March 2014 update on the above:

ICAI has clarified that certain sections of companies act shall be applicable to November 14.
