06 December 2011 The common seal should be kept at the registered office or at any other office of the company authorized by the Board unless the AOA provides otherwise.
Please see Secretarial Standards - 8 of ICSI for more details about common seal.

06 December 2011 No as per my understanding there is no prohibition for moving the common seal out of registered office. However in this regard kindly check the provisions of your AOA and such movement of seal should be supported by a board resolution.

Also refer section 50 for moving the seal outside India.
