16 December 2014 I am a salary person. i'm receiving commission from our office client.
But this commission receiving through my employer. My employer deducted TDS on this commission. My employer issued form 16A towards commission and form 16 towards Salary.

This commission will come to which head of the Income? Whether it may be treated salary or commission?

I have spent expenses towards commission. it is allowable or not?

16 December 2014 The commission income will fall under the head 'income from other sources' since it is not included as part of your salary in form 16 since the employer has separately deducted TDS on it and issued form 16A.
Moreover you can claim expenses incurred for earning such commission under income from other sources.

16 December 2014 is there any case reference for this case?
