hi,all
m query is that my client has won the show on t.v and got the amount of 10 lacs tht is before tds after tds he got the cheque of 6.90 my question is that is the amount of 6.90 taxable as this is his primary source of income andif yes eeven if i take his deductio u/s 80 and 80 d his income will be about 5.50 whether he has to pay tax on this plz explain? thanks

from winnings no deduction allowed under 80C
as TDS is already deducted, no tax on the balance amount. preserve the TDS certificate in which your pan details must appear.
