23 January 2025 Transport charges paid by our clearing & forwarding agent on behalf of us and invoice raised for import
Consignment clearing forwarding charges together with transport charges.
Transport invoice name is in our favour. Only we reimbursed the same.
Can on this transport charges we are liable to pay gst RCM

12 August 2025 You pay GST on the C&F agent's service invoice as usual.

For transport charges reimbursed, since invoice is in your name and transporter has charged GST, you have no additional RCM liability on this amount.

You can claim ITC on the GST paid on transport charges if eligible (subject to conditions).

If the transport invoice was in the name of the C&F agent and they billed you transport charges without GST, then you might have RCM liability on those transport charges. But since the invoice is in your name, this doesn’t apply here.
