17 January 2012 Reserve Bank of India has issued CIRCULAR NO. DBOD.AML BC.NO.47/14.01.001/2011-12, DATED 4-11-2011 by which it has directed Banks that with effect from April 1, 2012, banks should not make payment of cheques/drafts/pay orders/banker’s cheques bearing that date or any subsequent date, if they are presented beyond the period of three months from the date of such instrument.

17 January 2012 Thanks for ur reply sir,
suppose a cheque issued on 25th march 2012 and that would be presented befor 25th june 2012. is it right or not ?

17 January 2012 My understanding is cut off date for presentation is 24th June,2012.
