in the budget for 2009-10, retrospective amendment has been carried out wef 01.06.07 to clarify that renting itself shall be the taxable service.
High court of Delhi has again granted stay in the matter.

FRom 15.05.10 Delhi high court has granted stay on recovery of service tax on Renting of immovable properties.
