my attempt for final is may 2016, i had a doubt whether new syllabus is applicable for may 2016 or from November 2016. And to start with which subjects

There is no notification from ICAI regarding applicability of new syllabus as yet. So wait for ICAI notification. It is unlikely that the new syllabus will be applicable from May 2016. In any case ICAI is expected to give sufficient time for complete changeover to new syllabus.
So start preparing under existing syllabus.
