06 August 2013 My Final attempt in Nov 2014.and the new companies act 2012 is applicable to my attempt?
The bill was already passed in loksabha.

06 August 2013 it is still a bill and have not become an act as still it needs presidents assent.

keep a tract on icai website for its applicability for ur attempt as they will pronouce as and when its made applicable.

06 August 2013 Though it was passed in Lok Sabha on 12th Dec 2012 it is yet to be passed in Rajya Sabha after which President's assent will be required and then to be notified in official gazette after which it will become an Act and will replace the Companies Act, 1956. Till such time the Companies Act 1956 continues to apply. So still plenty of work to be done. So it seems unlikely that it will be applicable in Nov 2014 exams.

15 August 2013 FLASH!!!!

1)clarified that the proposed Companies Act, 2013 will not be applicable for the Intermediate (IPC) and Final Examinations to be held in May 2014.

2)Regarding the applicability for November 2014 Examination, the decision will be taken based on the exact date of enactment of the above Companies Bill into the Act.
