While Copmuting capital gain on Bonus share issued before 1981 we take fair value or original value on 1/4/1981 as its cost of acquisation,although it is free of cost.Is there any Logic.

Logic is the value before 1981 may be substantialy differ.So it become necessary to the rlue.
