22 June 2012 hi i would like to pose a doubt..

If my salary suppose is Rs. 3Lacs and i trade in futures & options and i get income of Rs. 15 Lacs. What type of income is trading in future & options? Speculative gain or capital gain?

23 June 2012 Trading in futures and options is NON SPECULATIVE BUSINESS.

It is taxable as a normal business under the head Income from Business or Profession.
