Cancellation of invoice due to non payment of money

I have one query regarding GST.
We have one of the party to whom we gave services. We issue the invoice to that party in the month of July for services rendered. But by the end of July we came to know that the party to whom services were rendered will not be making payment to us . So can we cancel the invoice issued earlier or we need to deposit the GST and cannot cancel the invoice
Are there any provision in GST law which tells us the circumstances where we can cancel the invoice ?

Issue Credit Note to reverse the tax...

You can't cancel such invoice but write off as bad debt and claim credit of GST.

Mr. ANKUR GUPTA.,
You can't cancel the Invoice... Already you paid the GST amount to govt...
So, Follow up the payment one/two if you don't get you ll create credit note and reverse the Tax...
It's just my opinion...!
Otherwise you will create Credit Note and Reverse the ITC....
