Can we purchase goods against ARN number

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether businesses can conduct purchases and sales using their ARN (Application Reference Number) after applying for GST. The consensus is that it's best to wait for the official GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) to be allotted before engaging in any transactions. Conducting business with only an ARN could lead to future compliance issues regarding input tax credits and charging tax to customers.

31 January 2024 Dear Sir, we have applied for GST and received the ARN number. Since we have to start our purchase and sales are we allowed to or can we do purchase and sales with the ARN number?
How are we supposed to it, with respect to claiming input taxes and charging taxes to buyers? Please clarify my doubts as soon as possible. Thanking you in advance.

31 January 2024 Better to wait for GST Number. It's the best way to avoid future compliance...

01 February 2024 No purchase or sales against ARN, you can do so only after GSTIN is allotted to you
