My query is as under;
can i pay today my self assessment tax Rs. 77900/- for the A.Y. 2011-2012 in cash thr. SBI.
because SBI has not accepting this challan the cashier says that you have not mention correct A.Y. 2011-2012 your have to change this as A.Y. 2012-2013. The System has not accepting A.Y. 2011-2012 Challans it is right?

Cashier is wrong. Today you can pay self assesment tax for asst. Yr. 2011-12. You may like to check the challan duly filled in and all the requird informations put in properly. U may pay in cash also.
