06 September 2011 Hi,

I cleared my CA Inter in May 1998 and then had appeared only twice in Nov 1998 and May 1999 for Final. I have not appeared in any exam after that due to my Job and the nature of work. I would like to know if I need some kind of registration to appear in the Final exam. I am interested in pursuing my Final for completion. Kindly let me know what is the process for this.

06 September 2011 Sir, i congrats u to take the decision to complete CA. I think u know the registration is valid for 4 years after that we have to renewal(re-register) for another 4 years. So ur registered for CA Final in the year 1998 it is valid upto 2002 thus ur required to renwal(re-registration) of ur CA Final registration. However ur registration is expired before 9 years so it is better to contact ICAI with ur querry they should be suggest in this regard. There is e-help line for students and members queries of ICAI called E-SAHAYATAA please follow the following go to www.icai.org in that u can find option of e-Sahayataa their u can submit ur querry ICAI will reply u with in 2 days.

06 September 2011 Contact the ICAI by giving your registration number and you will get the feed back. Since more than 12-13 years have lapsed and the course has also changed so you have to take permission from ICAI for registration.
