15 January 2012 Dear Sir,

We have a ware house in chennai, this ware house also registered in Sales tax (TNVAT)
at this time business is not running
so we have decided to close this business and surrender registration of TNVAT
so please convey what kind of Form is used for surrender sales tax registration
please we are humbly request to you all please attached this form

Generally,there will be no form for closure of a branch or a dealership in any state. On a plain paper,or on your letterhead,make a letter declaring your decision to close the business/branch,if possible with reasons(not always necessary),mentioning the effective date.Ensure that all the returns are filed and taxes are paid and declare so in your letter by attaching a copy of the latest return. If any statutory forms were drawn from the department return them and take aclnowledgement.If any security deposit was made at the time of registration demand its refund.If any notices are pending get them settled also. After copleting these formalities the registration can be cancelled...MJK
