13 January 2011 The purpose of BRS only find out the reason between book balance & bank balance and analysis as you asked in various way can be given like

1. Audit - It will help auditor to ensure the all the bank entries have been done correctly

2. Accounts - It is necessary to control the funds flow and find out the correct fund status

3.Control- As control purpose BRS will be give correct picture of bank, with this we can reconcile all non banking ledger payment & receipt entries confiedently
