WHAT IS THE DEFINATION OF WCT AND WHITCH % CHARGES IN WHITCH ITEM

CST RATES CUTS 3% TO 2%

We have been charging 2%CST on our direct sales from April'08 onward based on Union Govt. Budget announcement.
Kindly let us know whether we should continue charging 2% or revert back to 3%.

If a company reimburses some amount to employees every month as per policy, an employee claims reimbursement for March in the month of April, liability for fbt over the amount will arise in IVth qtr or in Ist Qtr? When will these expenses be booked?

1) Whether the basic limit of Rs.8,00,000 is applicabe to pay service tax by service receiver
2) Whether receiving consignment note is mandatory for paying service tax by the service receiver. And if the consignment note is not received, whether service tax is not payable by the service receiver.

Can a chartered accountant pay e challan from his personal account on behalf of tax payers. Because the Sec. 44 AB disallowed the expenditure if TDS not deposited within time.
