I started my articeship in Aug 2006. Iam not clear about the chance in which i will be eligible to apply for final exam. Iam doing final in old scheme. When will be my first for CA final? Is it Nov 2008 after 2 years OR in May 2009 after 2 and half years? please clarify since institute has issued so many confusing notifications in this regard.

I've got my Final CA exam in May '08..hav strtd wid studies from the study modules provided by the ICAI... but i require the names of authors whose books' reference for the following subjects would prove to be helpful:

2. Direct Tax
3. Audit

Dear Sir,

My one client is doctor and he filed his income tax return for last five year with nominal amount of tax. But during the assessment year 2007-08 his gross Incomeis Rs.94452/- ie below taxable limit of Rs.1 lac. I tried my best to file the return to Income tax department, but the same has not been accepted by the department, as explaination given as

1. gross taxable income below taxable limit and no need to file return.

Pls advise me, what I can to avoid problem in future.

i cleared my pe-1 in may 2006 ,pe-2
group 1 in may 2007. i have now appeared for group 2 in nov 2007. when should i join the computer5 training?
is there any condition that training will start only after 3 months of practical articleship training which will start after pe-2 results?

can i appear in both group of PE 11 in May 2008

I am undergoing final (old) course now ... pl advise me whether its favourable to switch to new ca final course.. also will there be major changes in the new syllabus
