it,s a pvt.ltd they spent Rs.60lakhs as advertisement. they can write off 1/3 in books and in IT adjustment they can claim entire expenses in first year itself.

EXCESS IN PUT VAT CREDIT

NEARLY 60%OF OUR PURCHASES ARE MADE LOCALLY AND ALMOST ALL OUR SALES ARE INTERSTATE SALES. AS A RESULT,WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ADSORB THE IN PUT VAT CREDIT AGAINST OUR CST LIABILITY.(IN PUT VAT MOSTLY 12.5% WHILE CST IS 2%) SINCE OBTAINING REFUND FROM THE DEPARTMENT IS A CUMBERSOME PROCEDURE,CAN WE WRITE OFF IN PUT VAT AS PURCHASE?

PRE OPERATIVE EXP

Dear Sir
A trading company was incorporated on 1.4.2005 with prelims exp of Rs 30000/=.
For year ended on 31.3.2007 pre operative exp as under :-
1> Salry 30000
2> Travelling 55000
3> misc exp 15000
Fixed assets- Computer 60000, Furniture 20000, Office block 300000
company statrted trading business on 1.4.2007. Please advice , how to ammortise or capitalise pre op exp Rs 100000/=

Interest to partners

Can a partnership firm pay interest on the credit balance of partners current account.If so will such interest is allowed as an expenditure in the hands of the firm subject to the limitations u/s 40(b) of the IT Act,1961.

Dear All,

Kindly let me know the circular that specifies that e-filing of return is compulsory for the asseessee covered u/s 44AB.

I have heard that it is not compulsory for individual covered u/s 44AB (compulsory for firms covered U/s 44AB.
