We are manufacture of Ozalic Acid which is attaracted 10% of excise duty some time we are exporting Ozalic acid as per export procesure. For export We are regulary paying some charges as clearing and forwrding charges, Fumigaton charges other export related charges. On abvoe charges survices provider is leving the services tax hence my question can we claim above service tax credit & same will utilise for payment of excise duty as well as service tax.

Can a Company under Section 163 pass a special resolution to keep the registers covered under that section, in various other offices including the registered office.

Does the usage of words 'instead' of being kept at the registered office of the company, mean that the records can be kept at only one other alternative location or can the records be kept at more than one locations instead of registered office.

Further can the records be also kept at registered office alongwith the other offices approved under Section 163 and in whcih case, can i accordingly word the special resolution under Section 163

I have filed one of my freinds ITR (F.Y. 2007-08) whose total income was 1.10 Lac only.

I e-filed his return without digital signature, when I go to Income tax department to get acknowledgement they refuse to accept it and saying Income is below 1.50 Lac, the return can not be accepted. I told them that i had already e-filed the return i need just acknowledement of it. but they had not accept my return. and sent me empty hands.

Please tell me what to do in this case.

Dear All,

I have recd my Form-16 but there is a error that while calculating taxable salary they did not consider rent paid so no HRA deduction is given and just coz of that my tax liability is increased by Rs 6k.

So is there any alternative way by which i can save this tax amount?

one thing to be noted that i have left that organization (ICICI BAnk) and they denied to make any change in Form-16.

Does Aminities charges falles under this category?As per Service tax Inspector he is of opinion that Aminities is not to be treated as rent & would be charged as Business support service since 1-5-2006.As per SE Inspetor he says that Though Lease Rent Comes under SE tax from 1-6-2007 it was not specify that it will not fall under Busines Support Services for earlier year.
Please quote any case law stating that Aminities is only part of Renting of Immovable propery & not Business Support

The goods have been dispatched from state of PUNJAB to the state of Maharastra But through oversight VAT @ 4% has been wrongly charged instead of CST @ 2%. The goods have reached its destination in Maharastra. Now Please advise as to how to amend the error and related issues
