If a Foreign company renders service to resident company...(service is rendered in India )and according to Income Tax Act Rate of TDS is 20% but according to DTAA the rate of TDS is 15%...which rate should be applicable..?

A company was ordered a machine with some specifications to foreign supplier. An employee goes to the place of supplier for trial of the machine ordered. The query is that the travelling expenses related to above visit either capitalized or transferred to P&l A/c. Please give a reference of Accounting Standard also, if possible.

I have registered in July 2012 for B.com (A&F) Ignou. I have not got the study material for 3 subjects and for another three i got the same by post.
I have telephoned to Blr Regional Centre several times and even sent mails. Even after 6 months, i have not got.
I am not able to download in ignou website though i have registered (as per website details)
can anybody please upload the study material for Eco13, AED1 and BEGE104?

As per Section 226 A firm would also be disqualified to be appointed as an auditor even if one partner is disqualified under this clause.

For Example:

ABC Ltd wants to appoint an auditor.

XYZ a partnership firm.

Having X,Y & Z as partner and Partner X has been disqualified for appointment as an auditor under Section 226 and thus firm is also disqualified as he is not eligible.

Now my Question if one of the partner say Y (Partner out of XYZ ltd) is also partner with another firm say YM Ltd (firm of CA), where Y & M are partners, can they be appointed as auditors of ABC Ltd.

Assessee is a partner ship Firm and manufacturer one of partner attended A trainnig Programme for business purpose and paid a service tax.whether cenvat credit can be utilised for payment of excise liabilty.
Bill is in the name of Company.

I having doubt regarding Listed In Both BSE & NSE.

If A ltd having Share capital of 10000 shares of Rs.10/-each.Listed in both stock exchanges.

If the company declares dividend 10% that is Rs.1/- per share.

Now the company has to pay dividend to 10000 shares.

Now my doubt is how its working.
and i purchased 6000 shares in BSE and 5000 shares in NSE. can i do so?
how its works?

We are the Manufacturing Company of Pharma with turnover around 200 Crs. & Capital around 25 Crs., We have appointed an cost auditor for F.Y. 2011-12 & 12-13, The cost has prepared the Cost Audit Report for F.Y. 2011-12 for which due date of filing has extended to 31.01.2013, Pl clarify

1. Whether the report can be adopt by the Bord Meeting after the expiry six month of F.Y. (i.e. later date from Sept.12)

2. Max time limit to adopt by Board for F.Y. 11-12

3. Report can be adopt by circular resolution???

4.whether we need to file "Cost Compliance Certificate" also apart from "Cost Audit Report"
