I paid rent 84,000/- for 7 months (12,000/- per month) to the house owner A and 60,000- for 5 months (12,000/- per month). (both in New Delhi)

total rent paid(84,000) to owner A is below Rs. 100,000/- for the year 2013-14. Similarly rent paid(60,000) to owner B is also below Rs. 100,000/- for the year 2013-14,
There should not be any requirement to submit the proof of PAN of both owner

Whether, in this case I have to submit PAN of both owner to the Income Tax Department?

Basic 250,000
Actual HRA 150,000
Rent Paid(144,000) - 10% of Basic Salary(25,000)
119,000
50% of Basic Salary 125,000
least of 150,000 / 119,000 / 125,000 = 119,000
(without PAN of both owners)

Dear experts,
thanks in advance.

Landlord/owner not furnishing pan

Hi,

In the case of rental receipts for claiming HRA, many of the employees are facing a problem as owners of property/landlords are not furnishing their PAN. What is the recourse available to the employees in these cases. Can the Employer ignore the PAN and take the rental receipts with details furnished such as the name and address of the landlord along with the address of the let out property?
Is there any win-win situation to both the employees and employers?
Regards
