I am having a turnover of 12lakhs in the 2010-11. Is it necessary to maintain books and Audit certificate is must. when filling returns my profit from this business will be 163000. i feel since my profit is 13% not required to audit. IS it necessary to get signed by a audit in my P&l & B/s for IT and banking purpose.

In my first attempt i got exemption in MICS which was June 2009. and Nov 10 was last attempt to claim such exemption and in Nov. 10 i also got exemption in costing. and after that i claimed exemption in costing for may 11 and not claimed exemption for MICS in may 11 . but institute showing absent in costing exam in may 11 and saying you are not eligible to claim costing exemption. is they r right. if not then now what should i do.

The case is as follows:

The goods are cleared from the factory for delivery to depot and excise duty is paid on the price existing at depot on date of removal from factory. Subsequently on reaching of goods at depot the price is revised upward & sold at such revised price to the outsiders (non-associated parties). Note - MRP is not stated on the goods. Price list is revised.

Pls calrify the duty payable on such goods and on the goods existing at depot before clearance such second consignment of goods from factory. Also clarify, the excise duty to be stated in the invoice during sale of goods to non-associated parties where the sale is made at such revised price.

My wife took the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) course, which cost approx. 50k. She has not done any active financial planning upto march 2011, but has traded in shares. Can she write off the CFP expenses against the gain from shares trading?

Im on articleship. I joined for Bcom(corresponding) after clearing IPCC. But now I think CS is a far beeter option than Bcom. Also it will take three years for me to get through Bcom. So is it possible for me to file another form 102 stating discontinuance of doing Bcom & seek permission to join CS?
