Hai,
I am Muthurajan, I belongs to sivakasi I completed my CA PE-2 during Nov 2007, Due to continuation of B.Com degree i am unable to put articleship immediately.My articleship period commences from May 26, 2008 in chennai.My registeration letter states that i have to appear during the last six months of trainnig,Some friends told me that as we are through pe2 scheme we are able to write the exam after two years.I will be more happy if some on helps me to find the exact attempt date for me, so that i can plan accordingly.

articleship timngs

my timings in form was01.30 to 07.30 but now my timings after negotiation wsa 10.30 to 05.30. Now what should I do? Should I inform to CA Institute abut new timings because my old timings ends after 07.00 pm and according to new provosion of ICAI timings of articleship can't go beyond 07.00pm But When I filled the form then timings can go upto 08.00pm

PE-II TO PCC

I have joined PE –II based on graduation ( NOT from PE 1/ foundation/ CPT) , but could not clear the exam till now, My 3 year Articleship is over. can anyone help me on following

1) Can I convert to PCC ,

2) If yes , My 3 year Articleship is valid?

or i have to joint as fresh article.

Books & periodicals

amount paid for books & periodicals every month is chargeable to tax for employees?
and also if amount is paid for hard & soft furnishings are they taxable?

PCC taxation

Can anyone tell me what is exempt rate of interest under Recognised PF (salaries) applicable for A.Y 2008-09 i.e. PCC nov 2008.
It is 8.5% as per Manoharan text book and 9.5% as per Singhania.
Which of the above is correct????

articleship

hai,

i am working as project secretary in a private firm and getting 8000 per month.

i attempted for cpt exam in june 08 and got through that

now i have to join in articles where i will get low pay. can anyone suggest me how to solve this means can there be reduction in number of months doing articleship(at least for pcc) after that i will leave the job.

Another thing is while doing CA can we do any other course like MBA, ICWA because i heard that we should not do any other degree with this.

any please let me know
