Group Company paid EMD's on behalf of other company and raised a debit note for the EMD amount is this transaction subject to service tax

if a service provider(X) entered into a contract with service receiver(Y)to provide a taxable service for about 12 months (1/4/2011-31/3/2012) for 20 lakhs. on 1/4/2011 Y paid as an advance payment to X of Rs. 400000/- .after the end of the first quarter (31/6/2011) X has to pay service tax. he, in mean while provided service to Y. so what is the taxable amount and point of taxation for the first quarter only.

i'll b appearing for ca final second grp in nov 12 bt this tym my preperation r really in bad shape,i was doing self study for the first tym and due to my negligence i hv wasted my precious tym,i m confident wid costing,dt and isca i.e i'll smhw manage to get thru but can idt b done in the tym left....plz guide...........very less tym and a lot to b done.i can study 18 hrs a day without a brk just that wanna get thru.plz gv suggestions.i hv bangur for idt shud i get some other bk as well for idt?

i hav done my 2 year of articleship training from small firm and now i want to do Industrial Training but till now i have not done any classes of final ...Is it correct to do so with final class ?....Plz suggest from where to do?

If Mr. A from Mumbai sells the goods to B in Chennai. Now during the movement of goods B endorse the LR & ask to deliver the same to C's Job site situated at Kerala(But C's Registered office & place of business is Chennai). In this
situation whether B can claim the exemption U/s 6(2) on sale to C ?
