Please share ur views on the following query:

A company is into Single Brand Retail in which FDI upto 51% is allowed with prior approval of GoI.
Entire paid up capital is held by group of 1 NRI, 3 PIO and 1 Indian.

Would like to know the sectrol cap for investment by NRI & PIO in Single Brand Retail.
Would the equity investment held by NRI & PIO shall be counted for the limit of 51%.

In Eform 23AC we have to mention gross value of related party transaction so to calculate that value what will be treatement of the below mention transaction i.e. whether that will be added or deducted:

1. Loan accepted
2. Loan repaid
3. Advance given
4. Repayment recd for advance given.

We are 100% subsidiary of A Japanese MNC. We are a Pvt. Ltd. company. Our financial year is Jan - Dec. Our Balance Sheet for year ending 31st Dec'08 is complete but
not signed by our auditor. Plz confirm what should be the board meeting date for the adoption of account, AGM date, and the notice period gap to be sent to ROC.

I have a basic doubt regarding Straight Line Method of Depreciation. In SLM method the value of depreciation is arrived by (Cost-Scrap Value / Useful life)
then why there is Rate of Depreciation is defined for SLM metod (As per Companies ACT) That too for Shift wise.

Is on any occassion, SLM is calculated by specified Rate (%)
