2. Can the above be covered under entry 12 (a) of M.E.N 25/2012 as Services of construction of original works meant predominantly for use other than commerce. (OR) is it manufacture and accordingly Excise Duty has to be paid on it.

Our one client takes electrical / computer goods (e.g. Switch boards) on rent and again provide it on rental basis to it's clients. Whether there is service tax applicable? Their suppliers charge vat in this invoice. and therefore our client also charge vat to their clients. Is this correct? Please guide.

We are manufacturers and suppliers of UPS, We do undertake maintenance of UPS supplied by us. We have registered under "Management, Maintenance or repair service".

After expiry of warranty period, for willing customer we undertake AMC.

Now my query is for AMC should we separately register under service category "Works Contract Service" or registration under "Management, Maintenance or repair service" is sufficient.

I am confused about applicability of Reverse Charge to Co- operative banks. co-operative banks being AOP are not Body corporate, but falls under definition of Business entity.So please let me know if provisions of Reverse charge are applicable to these banks?

Though the service provider is an individual he recovers service tax on full amount.
My Client says, since entire liability is discharged by reciever his liability is nil.

Please reply wether my client is liable or not. Please provide notifications, sections or case laws for this.
