Applicability of service tax on movable items / products

Is service tax applicable on renting of movable items? Kindly let us know any notification regarding this?

Our one client takes electrical / computer goods (e.g. Switch boards) on rent and again provide it on rental basis to it's clients. Whether there is service tax applicable? Their suppliers charge vat in this invoice. and therefore our client also charge vat to their clients. Is this correct? Please guide.

04 June 2013 vat can't be charged on renting. and service tax is also not levied on renting of MOVABLE property.
