I m a CA Profession student and want to know the applicability of companies act 2013 for the MAY 2014 IPCC Examination.

Mr.X has deposited cheque of Rs. 100000/- in his HDFC bank for collection, during presentment cheque was dishonoured by the Drawee bank (Axis bank) due to insufficient funds in the account.The same cheque was lost by the HDFC bank after above process. can Mr.X file a suit against HDFC bank for the loss of cheque?

please give provisions of negotiable instrument act 1881 to tackle the above situation?

now what changes in company law act 1956?

in my 3rd semester exams, I secured seventeen(17) marks And when I filed for rechecking answer sheets it revealed that I had actually secured seventy(70) marks which was incorrectly posted as seventeen ( 17) in my mark sheet. it took 4 mths for the university to correct this error in my mark sheet. I want to sue them for defamation charges as it hurted my image in public. whether I could sue them just like a account holder can sue his bank for wrongly dishonouring his cheque despite of having sufficient balance as I was also incorrectly failed despite of obtaining sufficient marks?

plese help me out how can i clear my ipcc law paper. my english is not so strong and i am not able to remember long tpye answer.

Hello Everyone,

My assessee is a company holding Certificate of Incorporation (COI) from 01st April, 2009.
From the incorporation to till date the company didn't have business and the company didn't have filed any return with ROC.
Please guide me about various fines, interest and penalties they are required to pay. Also, about due date of filing the return under ROC.
