Speculative & short term gain

On 10/02/2014 I was holding 100 shares of ICICI Bank. On 11/02/2014 I purchased another 100 shares of ICICI Bank and sold the same on 11/02/2014 @ Rs.500 profit. Whether profit earned will be treated as speculative gain or short term gain.

Mutual fund

hi,

I have the following queries regarding Mutual Fund.

1) When is the NAV of mutual funds updates? Is it updates throughout the market hours or only one update at the end of the day?

2) When the asset management company submit their fact sheet about the funds they are handling?

3) Suppose I redeemed some units of a fund, at what NAV will I get paid? Will it be based on the closing NAV of that particular day or the NAV of that particular instant in which I have made the order?

Please reply. Thanks in advance :)

Dividend payment

How does a company pay dividend to a shareholder who has bought shares from a broker? Does the company's share registry maintain the particulars of such shareholders?
