I want to know the accounting treatment of F & O transaction. As i hv read in Expert Query that difference of receivables & Payable regarded as Turnover.

Then, How it should incorporate in Books of accounts.

taxation of futures and option

Hi,

I trade in futures. Ihave incurred a loss in stock market crash .
My query is
1. Under which head of income I will have to show this loss
2.Whether the books of accounts are to be maintained for this
3. whether tax audit is required for this
4. what will be the due date for filing return

Dividend on Mutual Fund Re-invested

I have 100 equiety oriented units of MF amounting Rs.1000/- as on 01-04-07. The balance of units as on 31-03-2008 is 110 amounting Rs.15000/- as 10 units reinvested amounting Rs.100/- by way of dividend. Dividend Reinvestment on 01-09-07. I sold all the 110 units as on 01-05-08. what will be the tax effect? what will be the cost of purchase?

Hi experts,
Plz suggest me if I should invest in mutual funds at this time.
My investment horizon will be long term. Plz tell about good ELSS funds.
Should I average my portfolio by purchasing more units or abstain from it.

NCFM TEST MODULES

hi everyone.... am doin my CA finals. Am interested in NCFM modules. Does it have a good scope while applying for a job? Does it have value only if we finish all the modules or from the 1st module itself it increases the scope??? do we hav to take the permission from the institute before goin for those modules?
