Hi All,
How tax will be calculated on gains received from sales of shares of foreign equity markets?

Points to note
1) All transaction is made on foriegn
equity market by a foreign broking firm.
1) The difference in purchase and the sale
date is more than a year.
2) There is no tax deducted at source.
3) Also please provide tax rates if the
the difference of purchase and sale date
is less than a year?

regards

and it also written minimum contribution of rs 25000 per application from each individual and minimum contribution of rs 1 lac from firms and companies shall the eligible to be considered towards promoters contribution

if where promoters minimum contribution exceeds rs 100 crore the promoters shall bring rs 100 crore before opening of the issue and the remaining contibution shall be brought in by the promoter in advance on pro rata basis before the calls are made to the public.

Turnover question

I do margin trading everyday with an amount of 10,000. I hardly make a profit of 100 or 200 and sometimes losses too. Overall position until now is a loss. However, the total transactions amount run into lakhs. Is there any limit on this transaction amount in a year ? Can i do a self-assesment at the end of year and submit the loss/profit in my return ? Or do i need to hire a CA to get it done (however, the charge for him will be another burden) ? If suppose, I end up in profit at the end of year (which i assume is short term capital gain) and if that amount falls within the tax limit of 1.6lac, do i still need to pay the 15% short tem tax ? Too many questions. However, will be thankful for you advise. Thanks in advance.
