Why do most of the students fail in professional exams even after having good conceptual knowledge?

I am Engineering graduate and working in a IT Company from last 2.5 Years. I don't want to do this job further due to lack of interest in the work i am doing and no learning there. My inclination is towards finance,Accounts related career options. Please suggest what are the options i can go for and how to do this. I will be highly obliged to you.

After becoming a CA, should I go for a CPA ? I want to work outside India. What will be the starting pay packet ?

I am a chartered Accountant cleared in May-2012 and currently doing job in an ERP profile as a functional consultant. I am not satisfied with my current profile and want to change my profile. I am planning to do IFRS certification course but got confused whether is it worth doing IFRS course after being a CA. If I complete the same whether my value in job market in terms of position and pay will enhance or it will not make any difference?

Is only institute materials (i.e study material, prac.manu.,rtp,mock test paers, suggested answers and scanners) is enough to get a rank in ipcc?

my questions are:
1. how to get a rank in ipcc
2. How many times of revision needed for getting rank

please help me... i have not started yet, but m doing clases of Grp I of Acc., Tax, and FM. but have not started studying. now i am confused and feeling depressed that is it posible to complete course of Grp I or i should strt clases of Acc Grp II and move on to Grp II Acc.
Audit n ITSM can do it by myself and start preparing.. because in Grp I there are 4 sbjcts and are practical heavy sbjcts it will take lot of time to cmplete n Tax is vry comprehnsive and vast.. soo wat shud i do plzzz help me not filled d xam form yet...
