Re repair & return goods duty

Dear Sir,

I have imported device which comes under one year warranty from manufacturer. at the time of import i paid 100% custom duty. After receiving goods within few days it does not work properly, so i export the same on repair & return basis with all necessary documents.

Now at the time of arriving repaired goods in india, custom department reject our documents and forced us to pay 100% custom duty again. at that time we paid the 100%duty second time for the same goods due to urgent requirement of goods.

According to my knowledge there is no custom duty on repair & return goods, so how can i get back the custom duty from custom department & what is the procedure for that.

Clarification on hs code for memory code

Hello Everyone!

Firstly, I'd like to thank all the experts here. This website is indeed a great ocean of knowledge and information.

Can one of the experts answer this query regarding HS code please ?

I'm importing micro SD cards from China and was going through the forum on more information. Almost all my questions are answered except for the HS code.

An earlier link posted by Mr. Verma takes me to cybex.in website which gives two HS codes when searched with product description "Memory Card" - 85235220 & 85421020.

Each of these codes vary in Custom duties describing Memory cards.

An image for my product can be seen here - http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:MicroSD_card_2GB_focus-stacked.jpg

Can someone please help me understand the difference between these two codes and identify which one applies to me?

Thanks,
AS

We usually accept payments against export goods using SWIFT / Wire but the buyers ordering small quantities always ask to transfer payments via PayPal.

Kindly advice how to realize visa payments against export payments. How to make BRC and how the bank will issue GR. Any norm(s) please?

Duty drawback is an essential part of our income and we can not just leave around 10k on small shipments :(

Sad claims

Company is importing items purely for treading, Product does not fall under section 3 (Goods will NOT assessed based on MRP)

my question is:
1. Can we get SAD refund?
If yes,
2. Can we also claim CVD in Excise along with SAD refund?
