I am an account assistant in a pvt ltd company (who import mobile from china and trading in different states) my company enroll under provident fund scheme since last year

My probleam is that i want to know the salary structure for my emploee who is enroll for PF

Currently we follow the structure

Basic Salary
HRA
Transport Allowance
Medical Allowance
Special Allowance

my majar problem is that i dont know the proper head on which pf contribution attracht coz some persons told me that pf attract for special allowance

Plz tell the proper head on which pf attract or give me the final salary structure

is it enuf if i just do jk shah's sums for fm for nov 2010??? do i need to do shridhar or bala for all chps??? does any1 knw whch selective chps to do frm des reference books???

I want to know how I'll calculate Quarterly Compound interest(on FDR) in excel.Also please help to calculate accrued interest(qtrly.compound).Please send in MS Excel file.

I'm giving an example for your understanding of my question:

Example
Let's say I made a FDR for Rs.16,00,000/- for 6 months @ 6% (quarterly compound interest) on 16.10.2009 maturity date is 16.04.2010.

Now my question is - how much accrued interest i'll have to booked as on 31.3.2010(financial year closing date).
and interest for the remaining period in the f.y.2010-11.

Please provide me in MS-Excel file only,so that I could solve my other fdr amount by puting the same in your file and keep it for future reference.

COnsider two firms A and B.

A has 15 employees and 2 securities from security service. A is a manufacturing electronic products. Has 2 partners X and Y. Has Excise, VAT , service tax, SME certificates

B has 10 employees. Has three partners X Y and Z. ( X and Y are common to both the firms ). B provides software and installation commissioning services. Has VAT, SME (service) certificates.

Both are in the same building and B pays rent to A. B has sold software to A in addition to billing on other customers.

Can the head count of A and B combined to arrive at the PF coverage limit of 20 employees ?

I am filling Form 1, 18 and 32 for uploading. But few areas were not getting loaded even after clicking on prefill. So now I upgraded to Adobe reader 9 version. Now its better. But when signing Form 1, only CA signature could be signed and the sign of the director is not getting signed even after clicking on it several times. I dont understand whats the problem in this. Please guide me.

Please explain me the requiremets of witnessing an agreement. Can a person having blood relation with other person, witness on other person's documets. Again an employee of a broker who has done "IN PERSON VERIFICATION" of the client, can withess on behalf of the client.

Can anyone tell me whether a practising chartered accountant or a company secretary is recognised as a gazetted officer? I understand that Government doctors are gazetted officers. Pls reply
