i just wanted to know why do we transfer the profit on sale of any asset in profit and loss account...because this is a capital receipt and p&l is a revenue a/c.....i m confused i want clarity with regards to p&l account

1. Can the credit note on a/c of discount recieved on purchase of car be treated as income of pvt ltd co?

2. What will be the entry in the books if the car is purchased on loan for value of 10L and a crdit note of Rs3L recieved.

can it is possible that a ledger(mani electricals) create in my tally erp .9 previous year 2009-2010.now in current year 2010-2011. when i alter this ledger & write it mani electricals kanpur.than it can be happen. bcoz sir this in this ledger many entry are created previous year from still.plz how can i do this
