29 June 2009 Who can attest the DIN application of an NRI who is appling for DIN while he is in India at the time of application.

29 June 2009 DIN application has to be attested by the Embassy of India in that country where he is living or having citizenship. It does not matter that at the time of filing of application, NRI is in India or not.

29 June 2009 The certification of attached documents and the photograph may be done by a notary in the home country of the applicant or the Managing Director/ CEO of the Company on which he is a Director or the Company Secretary in full time employment of the Company.
