28 January 2009 plzzz... i want to knw the procedure to get transfer... i hav completed my 1yr of articleship... nd can i make it within same city...

28 January 2009 First you have to get discontinuance with your present chartered accountant and to that effect your chartered accountant will give a signed form to give to institute.
Institute will send the confirmation.

Secondly, you have to approach new chartered accountant and after his confirmation that you can join him he will give a form duly signed by him stating that earlier you have completed 1 year articles with such and such person. Then you have to file the same to the institute

For the remaining period you should work with the new auditor.
