Articleship period of CFA

Hi,
It's written in CFA that "To be a CFA chaterholder one needs to have 48 months of qualified,professional experience".So my question is "Can C.A. articleship period be counted under this 48 Months?"
Because I have just staated my articleship and i really wanna do CFA

Articleship period will not be count as qualified professional experience for CFA.
