12 April 2012 1) Is a Principle is entitled to deduct the stipend during the month for which Leaves are taken for B.com Exams under their 155 days allowed as leave by institute?

2) if stipend is recieve after deducting the leave taken and get below the minimum limit prescribed then is there any problem after the compltion of articleship? is the principle is entitled to do so?

pls give your valuable opinions on the basis of Ca regulations.

A person registered as an articled assistant is entitled to receive a minimum monthly stipend as per the rates specified under the Chartered Accountants Regulations, from time to time. The current minimum rates of monthly stipend payable, depending on the situation of the normal place of services of the articled assistants. So the principal is not entitled to deducted stipend. However, he will paid stipend or not for the period you are on leave will depend on principle.
