06 November 2012 Need clarification regarding applicability of Service Tax on Mess.
In case the mess is operating inhouse of a hostel?
What percentage is allowed as abatement?
Please Elaborate in detail.

06 November 2012 No service tax since it's a Bundled service. The main service is Hostel which is exempt. So, allied services also exempt.
