24 March 2009 M/s A&co, a manufacturer of PET bottles in plastic without caps wants to trade caps along with pet bottles .for which it purchased plastic caps from another supplier.

Is M/s A&co. is liable to pay exercise duty on caps & Bottles while selling the caps with pet bottles through a single invoice or differant invoices?

28 March 2009 No duty is payable.
Although no rule prohibit clearance of trading item on same invoice on which manufactured goods are cleared, it is advisable to maintain a separate set of invoices for trading goods.
