21 September 2011 Last AGM of Private Limited company was held on 15th Oct. 2010 then what will be the last date for holding AGM for the year ending on 31st March 2011.

21 September 2011 The due date of agm is subject to following conditions :-

Condition 1 :-
AGM should be held Within 6 months of closing of the Financial year of the Company

Condition 2 :-
Every Calender year one AGM should be conducted

Condition 3 :-
The time gap between each AGM shall not exceed 15 months.

All conditions has to be satisfied. Accordingly, it is the rule that a company whose financial year ends on 31st March, shall hold its annual general meeting by 30th September every year.

21 September 2011 Let me tell you the provision of more stringent time limit for holding AGM.
As explained by Sanjay ji there are 3 dates for the purpose of AGM. Now the criteria of choosing among those 3 dates is the date which is more stringent as far as time is concerned.

1. September 30, 2011
2. December 31, 2011
3. January 14, 2012

Out of above 3 more stringent date is September 30, 2011. If we hold our AGM up to September 30, 2011 than other 2 dates will be complied automatically. This is the thumb rule of more stringent date funda.

So you must hold your AGM up to September 30, 2011.
