A manufacturing entity engaged in exports has hired local agents for its export sales. The agent is raising its invoice along with the amt of service tax . Whether the company has to pay the amount of service tax also along with the billed amt to the agent ? If yes , can the company can take its credit ?

The local agents are required to pay ST on the commission./ service charges and the manufacturer can avail the credit of the same.
